This Privacy Policy explains how Wanner Luxury ("we", "us", "our"), the real estate advisory service of Marina Wanner in Cascais, Portugal, collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit wannerluxury.com, contact us, or receive text messages from us.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Wanner Luxury is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For any question about your information or this policy, contact us at marina@wannerluxury.com or +1 405 431 5259.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use a form on this website (the contact form, the valuation request or the agent referral form), email us, call or text us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, the property or area you are interested in, your timeline and your message. If you are an agent referring a client, we collect your brokerage and licensing details and the information you choose to share about your client.
Your text message consent. If you opt in to text messages, we keep a record of your consent: the phone number, which kind of messages you agreed to, the date and time, and the wording you agreed to.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the website secure and running. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for, such as property searches, viewings, valuations and the sale or purchase of a property.
- To send you customer care text messages, such as replies to your questions and viewing or appointment reminders, if you have agreed to receive them.
- To send you marketing messages, such as new listings and market updates, only if you have separately agreed to receive them.
- To introduce you to professionals you ask to be introduced to, such as our legal partner.
- To meet legal obligations, including the identity and anti-money-laundering checks that Portuguese law requires in property transactions.
- To keep this website secure and working properly.
4. Our legal basis (for visitors in the EU and UK)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, we rely on your consent for text messages and marketing; on steps you ask us to take before entering into a service with us, and on performing that service; on our legitimate interests in replying to enquiries and running our business; and on legal obligations where the law requires us to keep or check information.
5. Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in on our contact form or otherwise give us your consent, we may send text messages to the mobile number you provide. Customer care messages and marketing messages are consented to separately, and you can agree to one without the other. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
The full terms of our text messaging program are in our Terms & Conditions.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share it only:
- with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions, such as our website host, our form provider, our customer relationship and messaging platform, and our email provider;
- with the people involved in your transaction, where that is needed to provide the service you asked for, such as the other party's agent, lawyers, notaries and banks;
- with a professional you have asked us to introduce you to, such as our legal partner;
- where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
The text message consent information described in section 5 is never shared in any of these ways except with subcontractors that help us deliver the messages.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers are based in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or provide our services, and afterwards for as long as the law requires (for example, records related to a property transaction). Records of your text message consent and opt-outs are kept so that we can show when you agreed and make sure we respect a STOP request.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it). To use any of these rights, write to marina@wannerluxury.com.
If you are in the EU and are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or to the authority in your own country.
10. Cookies and similar storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The website stores two small preferences in your browser: whether you chose dark mode, and, if you switch the site to Portuguese, a language cookie that Google's website translator reads. When you choose Portuguese, the page loads Google's translation service, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy. Property videos are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set cookies until you play a video.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No website or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
